Frostline Server Configuration Log

Below is a list of the specific updates and configurations made to the ICHB Frostline server. If you’d like to request any changes, or have questions on any of the below, feel free to contact us.

Spawn Conditions

You start with a map. Find a compass or GPS and you have an idea of where you are. You also start with a heat pack… because it’s cold out. But it comes with a catch… see the next box.

Object Placement Override

Default Sakhal has limited areas you can place tents or objects due to all the pitch and terrain. Our change makes it easier to place a tent or object while on the go bringing more realism to being able to setup a tent in the woods to increase probability of surviving the night.

1PP and 3PP

Like 1st person? Great. Use that perspective. Like third person? Great, use that one instead. We left them both on. Your call.

No Flu Shot

By default, Sakhal gives you 15 minutes of immunity to influenza upon spawning. We removed that. So you better get warm quick. Good news, we give a thermometer to check your temp.. so there’s that.

Speed of Day and Night

Days are set to 8x real-time speed (3 real-hours per 1 in-game day). Night is ~30 minutes of that 3 hours. Why? The map is beautiful. We want you to see it and enjoy it. Who wants to look at darkness for hours? Not us…. also. our nights are brutal cold. Get inside quick.

More Snow. More wind. Colder

Our server is colder, windier, and snowier. Stay warm.

Humvee Added

Bohemia removed the Humvee in Sakhal by default. Not sure why. It’s a great offroad vehicle, so we added it back. Humvees will spawn mostly ready to go, but only a few on the entire map. All spawn points are military bases and it randomizes which one spawns.

[MOD] MuchStuffPack

We added the MuchStuffPack (and framework) which provides more storage options when setting up a home base. Throughout the map you will find spawned kits and storage to take to your base. Enjoy!

Standard Loot Added

Frostline DLC (Sakhal) does not spawn a lot of the standard loot we saw in DayZ (e.g. FNX45, M4, Hunter Gear, etc..). We modified the spawn points to bring it back in. They’re set to be limited, but they are out there for you to gobble up!

Heli Crash Sites

We miss that fun “Is that smoke?” moment before you rush to a potential loot surplus. Therefore … we added it back to Sakhal. There are just a handful of crash sites, all of which are in difficult places. Think high altitudes… hint.

Improved Vehicle Spawn State

We modified spawn of vehicle parts and increased the probability of a vehicle spawning with more parts from the start. Overall intent? It’s cold and dangerous out. It’s also a pain to drive in Sakhal, thus vehicles aren’t a huge advantage, but it’s better than on foot.

Under Snow Stash Fixed

Sakhal (Frostline) has a new “Stash” option to bury stash in the snow, unfortunately it was deployed with a bug causing snow stashes to purge in 2 hours. We set it to 14 days (resets when interacted with) like normal ground stash buries.

Not so mil-sim

Military gear is at military places, like it normally is, however we modified the spawn quantities and timing. Good gear is out there. But it’s in much more dangerous places versus just being at a base on the main island. It’s also limited.
